Constructed in 1887 by the influential May family, the residence has since been home to several prominent families, each contributing to its rich tapestry of history. The house boasts a distinctive and elegant appearance, characterized by its grand Victorian design and lush, inviting gardens. Despite its charm and significance, the house faced adversity, notably enduring a horrific fire in 2006, which threatened its legacy. Miraculously restored over a 2 year complete historic renovation, the inn today not only reflects its original splendor but also embodies the resilience and enduring spirit of its storied past.
